TUBITAK 2238 - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competitions Program


Within the scope of the 2238 - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competitions Program within the scope of the University Project Competitions organized by TÜBİTAK for undergraduate theses, 789 projects that passed the preliminary evaluation of the 809 project applications evaluated in 2018 were taken into the second evaluation. As a result of this evaluation, 343 of the projects were exhibited in 6 regions (Erzurum, Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri, Konya, Samsun) between October 8-11 in order to be evaluated in 2238 - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition, 144 in 2241 - Undergraduate Graduation Thesis Competition for Private Sector and 202 in 2242 - Project Competition for University Students in Priority Areas.

Students from 13 universities (Manisa Celal Bayar University, Ege University, Anadolu University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Yaşar University, Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir Institute of Technology, Balıkesir University, Bursa Technical University, Çanakkale On Sekiz Mart University, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Pamukkale University and Uludağ University) participated in the İzmir Regional Exhibition and 50 projects were presented at the regional exhibition held at Ege University Atatürk Cultural Center.

As a result of the evaluations of TUBITAK 2238 - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competitions Program Izmir Regional Exhibition, Feyza Kaymaz, one of our students from Manisa Celal Bayar University Bioengineering Department, won the second prize with her project titled "Wearable Thermometer Application (Thermo-Clock) for Bedridden Patients" under the supervision of Dr. Lecturer Emine Kemiklioğlu. Prof. Dr. Emine Kemiklioğlu, won the second prize with her project titled "Wearable Thermometer Application for Bedridden Patients (Thermo-Clock)". Nilay Ertürk, one of our students from Manisa Celal Bayar University Department of Bioengineering, won the second prize with her project titled "Wearable Thermometer Application (Thermo-Clock) for Bedridden Patients". Prof. Dr. Emine Kemiklioğlu, won the first prize with her project titled "A Product to Detect Tooth Decay at an Early Stage" and qualified to participate in the Turkish Final, which will take place in Ankara between November 12-14, together with other regional finalists.
